About Tony

Tony Escamilla, Owner/Home Inspector

Tony Escamilla is the founder of Villa Home Inspections. His easy going personality and expertise makes him a top-notch certified inspector. With a background as a general contractor since 2000, Tony has been in the construction industry for many more years. His experience ranges in the trades from electrical, carpentry, plumbing and general remodeling. It was a natural transition into home inspection.  Tony has an extensive education in building construction & inspection. The combination of education along with field experience, and his knack for troubleshooting defects makes Tony a well rounded home inspector. He has personally performed over 8,000 inspections throughout the Los Angeles, Orange and San Bernardino Counties.

*ICC (International Code Council) is the organization which writes the building codes throughout the country. These codes are then adopted by the states and ultimately handed down to the local municipalities. California building codes were written by the ICC.

Tony's Education

No Correspondence, Short-Term or Online Home Inspection Education!  

To become a certified inspector, you must pass each semester long class below, with numerous exams to assure expertise. The curriculum below represent hundreds of hours of training and exams. These are NOT online, short term (1-2 week) or correspondence courses with open book exams. These are actual in-class and field training courses taught by active and retired city building inspectors and architects.

Personal Interests

Besides being a certified inspector, in his spare time, Tony is an avid photographer and is involved with the American Cancer Society where he was the 2009 Relay for Life Arcadia chairman. He is also the Vice President and Board Member of Rebuilding Together San Gabriel Valley Foothills which rehabilitates homes for the needy, disabled and veterans.
